Have you ever believed in the popular notion of putting your dreams and wishes out in the world – to the universe to make them come true and see them happening? I have believed in it and seen it come to life.
Manifestation and visualization are two techniques that go hand in hand. A vision board just wouldn’t work on its own, it puts these techniques to work most creatively and helps to visualize, feel and manifest what you want. Creative visualization is a powerful technique that works on the power of thought and imagination providing the mental images, and the law of attraction providing the manifestation to make dreams and goals come true.
For me a vision board is behind the scenes for how I feel, visualization of my dreams, working on the law of attraction to reach the end destination. It’s a way to pave your authentic path.
The eminent book “The Secret” states “You can create anything you want, but to do that you must follow the principles of the law. Eliminate all the doubt and replace it with full expectation that you will receive what you are asking for. If you are not receiving what you are asking for, it is not the law that has failed. It means that your doubt is greater than your faith.”
What is a vision board?
A vision board is a collection of thoughts in the form of images and fun creatives. It is a visualization tool, to create a collage of words, affirmations and pictures which spark motivation, reflect your inspiration, dreams, goals, desires and reminds you of what you want to be, do and have. You don’t have to be an artist to create a vision board, but just a person with dreams, feelings, thoughts, aspirations and ambition to turn them into reality. It is the most fun activity to perform which helps you flow your creative juices in the most natural way possible.
It is documentation of dreams and feelings on a board. A collection of all the moments, thoughts, feelings, that lead you to your ultimate goal in the form of images and objects that help you put together your future self, most aesthetically and creatively possible. It is a constant reminder of keeping on track for what one is headed for.
It can include materialistic things, but the focus should be on how you want to feel, rather than what you want. For example, you can add a picture/object of a place that gives you positive and good vibes.
How does it work?
A vision board is usually in a place where you see it most of the time, every day. It is a self-reminder and self-reflection of things that are important to you, of prioritizing your goals. The subconscious mind picks on the images you are repeatedly watching and seeing on these boards. This regular rehearsal of mental images playing in the brain helps it to change the mindset, habits and actions. It helps the brain to notice resources that were right in front of you but escaped due to lack of focus.
Well-focused thoughts tend to come true. Without a clear direction of where we are headed, one tends to lose focus and get caught up with other unimportant things. This continuous playing of images in the mind helps to bring you in contact with things, people, circumstances that you have visualized to call into your life.
Thoughts are very powerful. They hold the power which can make or break your life, and attract the things you think about. If they are strong enough, other people can pick on them and help you achieve your goals. Here the vision boards help to align your thoughts and actions. It helps to break the limited thinking and expand your focus.
Another important factor that makes the vision boards work is Imagination. It is a crucial component in creative visualization. Imagination helps the mind to build circumstances, scenes and events that do not exist. Repeatedly visualizing the mental images, attracts these visualizations into your lives. It opens up various new and exciting opportunities.
WHAT YOU THINK, YOU BECOME.
WHAT YOU FEEL, YOU ATTRACT.
WHAT YOU IMAGINE, YOU CREATE.
